Ephesians 6:10-19

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.  Put on the whole Armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel…

How do we do that? 

We ARMOR UP with LIGHT!

God is LIGHT! 

And where is GOD? YOU ARE THE TEMPLE! GOD RESIDES WITHIN! 

So, we armor ourselves up with prayer and we SEEK a close PERSONAL relationship with THE MOST HIGH. How do we do this? Well, there are many ways that you can seek a close relationship with God. Prayer is one, talking to God is another. You could say this is also prayer. You could armor yourself with scripture. A lot of churches teach this way – they tell you to armor yourself with the word of God. CHRIST is THE WORD. John1:  In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and the WORD was God. The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 

THE DARKNESS COMPREHENDED IT NOT! Picture the light inside of you, fill yourself up with this light and feel the good feeling permeate throughout your being. After this, picture yourself putting on the full armor- the breastplate of righteousness, God’s full battle armor! 

A good scripture to recite when you need to remember that YOU ARE THE LIGHT! 

Psalm 27

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? 

The LORD Is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?

When the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh, my enemies and foes, they stumbled and fell. 

Though an army may encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; through war may rise against me, in this I will be confident. 

One thing I have desired of the Lord, that I will seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the Days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple for in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle he shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock and now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Before I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.
